Jeep Cherokee Trim Levels
The Cherokee is available in Latitude, Latitude Plus, Latitude LUX, Limited, and Trailhawk® trim levels. Altitude, 80th Anniversary Edition, and High-Altitude sub trims are also available.
The entry-level Latitude starts with a 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system that uses voice commands, Bluetooth® connectivity, and Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone compatibility for streaming media on the go.
Several safety features are included, such as Blind Spot Monitoring for alerts if vehicles are in your blind spot and Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking to alert you to possible front crashes.
Moving up through the lineup, the Cherokee adds features like keyless entry, SiriusXM® Satellite Radio, a nine-speaker Alpine® Premium Sound System, and an 8.4-inch touch screen. The Trailhawk® is the off-road-oriented trim and comes with performance enhancements like an off-road suspension, skid plates, and all-terrain tires.
Jeep Cherokee Engine and Performance
The Cherokee is equipped with a naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine that produces 180 horsepower. You can upgrade for more power with the 271 horsepower V6 that offers plenty of passing power on the highway. Another uprated option is a 270-horsepower turbo 4-cylinder that has tons of torque for quick acceleration. All engines pair with a slick-shifting 9-speed automatic transmission.
For off-roading, the Cherokee offers three four-wheel-drive systems with Selec-Terrain® Traction Management Systems, so you can customize the drive modes depending on conditions. Jeep Active Drive I includes automatic four-wheel engagement, while Active Drive II offers Hill Descent Control and low-range gears. When properly equipped, the Cherokee can tow up to 4,500 pounds.
Jeep Cherokee Interior
The Cherokee offers seating for five people in comfortable, plush seats. Adults can sit comfortably in the front or back, thanks to the abundance of headroom and legroom. Optional features enhance the interior comfort, such as leather upholstery, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and heated and ventilated seats.
In the cargo hold, the Cherokee offers 25.8 cubic feet of cargo space with the seats up. The Cherokee also has an adjustable cargo floor that increases the capacity to 27.6 cubic feet, giving you some extra space without decreasing the passenger seating. With the seats down, the maximum cargo space is 54.7 cubic feet, which is enough room for lots suitcases, camping gear, or sports equipment. Both a power liftgate and a hands-free power liftgate are optional for comfort cargo loading.
